A repetitive and persistent pattern of behavior in which the basic rights of
others or major age-appropriate societal norms or rules are violated, as
manifested by the presence of at least three of the following criteria in the
past twelve months, with at least one criterion present in the past six months.
(A1)
Often bullies, threatens, or intimidates others.
(A2)
Often initiates physical fights.
(A3)
Has used a weapon that can cause serious physical harm to others (eg. a bat,
brick, broken bottle, knife, gun).
(A4)
Has been physically cruel to people.
(A5)
Has been physically cruel to animals.
(A6)
Has stolen while confronting a victim (eg. mugging, purse, snatching,
extortion, armed robbery).
(A7)
Has forced someone into sexual activity.
(A8)
Has deliberately engaged in fire setting with the intention of causing serious
damage.
(A9)
Has deliberately destroyed others' property (other than by fire setting).
(A10)
Has broken into someone else's house, building, or car.
(A11)
Often lies to obtain goods or favors or to avoid obligations (ie.
"cons" others).

Has stolen items of nontrivial value without confronting a victim (eg.
shoplifting, burglary, forgery).

Often stays out all night despite parental prohibitions, beginning before 13
years of age.

Has run away from home overnight at least twice while living in parental or
parental surrogate home (or once without returning for a lengthy period).

Is often truant from school, beginning before 13 years of age.

The disturbance in behavior causes significant impairment in social, academic,
or occupational functioning.

EXCLUDE the diagnosis if age 18 or older and meets criteria for antisocial
personality disorder.
